Create free 3D scatter charts instantly — no account, no software, no limits. Plot data points with three spatial coordinates (X, Y, Z), assign groups for color coding, add custom labels, and choose from five marker shapes. Download as PNG or print directly from your browser.

What is a 3D Chart?

A 3D chart (also called a 3D scatter plot) places each data point in a three-dimensional space using its X, Y, and Z coordinates. An oblique projection maps the three axes onto the 2D canvas: X is horizontal, Y is vertical, and Z goes diagonally into the depth. All markers are the same size — use the Point Scale slider to adjust marker size globally.

How Do I Enter Data?

Each row is one data point. Fill in the columns:

Click Example to pre-fill sample data, then Calculate Chart to render.

How Are Marker Shapes and Styles Used?

Choose from five shapes in the Chart Setup section: Circle, Square, Diamond, Cross, and X. For circle, square, and diamond you can also select a rendering style (Classic, Ball, Transparent, Metal, Glass, Ball Shadow) from the Style strip that appears after the chart is drawn. Cross and X markers use a flat color fill and ignore the Style setting.

How Are Groups and Colors Used?

When you fill in the Group column, each unique group name gets its own color from the selected color palette. A legend is drawn on the right side (or top) of the chart. If the Group column is empty, all markers share the first color from the palette.

How Do I Customize the Axes?

Open the Appearance section to control axis titles, ranges, and tick intervals for all three axes independently. Use the Z Range fields to set a custom minimum, maximum, and tick interval for the depth axis. The Z axis is drawn as an oblique line at the bottom-left corner of the chart.
