Student's t-test

The t-test compares means using the Student's t-distribution. This calculator runs four variants: one-sample (compare a sample mean to a known value), two-sample with equal variances (pooled), two-sample with unequal variances (Welch's), and paired (dependent samples).

How to use the t-test calculator

  1. Choose the test with the buttons at the top.
  2. Enter the data — raw values in the grid (one or two columns depending on the test) or summarized statistics.
  3. Calculate - tails, significance level, and for one sample t-test, the expected mean.
  4. Open More options to set the expected mean rounding, outliers and effect size.
  5. Press Calculate.
